Sports Injuries and Performance

Athletes of all ages and competitive levels can benefit from the care we provide. If you are ready to take your performance to the next level, contact our office today to request an appointment. It's really simple. When it comes to sports injuries, Dr. Morales' chiropractic care - through the use of safe and natural spinal adjustive techniques, soft tissue mobilization, physical therapy applications, stretching and exercise programs, extensive biomechanical training, as well as, diet and nutritional counseling - focuses on all causes of the injury, which have lead to the symptoms of pain and do not focus on solely eliminating pain. Her personal experience as an amateur and NCAA Division II collegiate athlete (who suffered from many sports injuries), gives her the expertise and empathy it takes to successfully diagnose and treat these unique type of injuries. For Dr. Morales' successful treatment of a sports injury, she must focus not only on pain relief, but must also address the underlying causes, such as muscular imbalances, improper sporting techniques, biomechanical deficiencies, and improper conditioning, just to name a few. To do this, Dr. Morales has asked cyclists to bring their bicycles to the office in order to see if the patient was properly fitted for his bike. She has also gone to a wrestling tournament of a state ranked high school patient to find out why and how wrestler's knees get injured. This is the kind of commitment Dr. Morales has to her patients and to sports injuries! Click here to learn more about Chiropractic Treatment for Sports Injuries

Good nutrition is an essential part of The 100 Year Lifestyle. Using a variety of resources, ranging from dietary counseling, healthy weight loss strategies, educational workshops and supplementation, we will help you and your family maximize your health through good nutrition. At Escalante Chiropractic, we believe the adage "You are what you eat" because the body will chemically and physiologically respond to what we feed it. As a result, the body will respond either positively or negatively to what it's fed. Our patients are educated on the benefits of staying away from harmful processed 'foods" and artificial ingredients. However, as it is important to say "no" to the bad stuff, it is just as important, or even more important to say "yes" to the GOOD stuff. When we feed our body the 3-6 times per day that we should, we need to be thinking, "What does my body need?", not "What do my taste buds want?". We offer nutritional consultations in which Dr. Morales discusses nutritional needs, current symptoms, and good/bad habits of nutrition.

Children’s Health

Every parent desires to maximize the health of their child. Thus parents should be proactive in keeping their children healthy. As a parent considering chiropractic for your child, there are some important truths that need to be understood about chiropractic care and children. First is the understanding that your child's nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves)controls and coordinates every single function of his or her body. Thisincludes all the body's systems, such as the immune system, all biochemical functions, and hormones, as well as the control of all healing mechanisms. It is because of this that it is imperative that your child's nervous system and spine are functioning and developing properly. Dr. Morales is an educated and trained expert who is able to determine if the nervous system is functioning properly, in children as well as in adults. During a consultation with Dr. Morales, she will take a thorough history of your child's health, in conjunction with a complete chiropractic, neurologic and postural evaluation. Dr. Morales will then determine the extent of your child's interference in the nervous system. This interference is called a SUBLUXATION or a damaged or injured vertebra that is not moving properly and putting pressure on a spinal nerve. Click here to learn more about Children's Health
